Beach training is a unique method of fitness training, because sand inherently introduces resistance, which in turn, increases heart rate, rapidly.
An exercise program may be designed around: running, short/intermediate sprints, lateral movement drills, cones as well as different types of equipment: baseball, football, volleyball, soccer ball, frisbee, medicine ball to name a few.
There is good reason why the U.S. military will specifically train their soldiers in the sand…it’s an extremely hard and kick-ass workout!
Requirements: Comfortable shorts, dri-fit jersey, sunglasses and baseball cap (optional).
